It was established in 1970 to provide patent and information support for the Institute’s scientific research during the planning and implementation stages, as well as to promote achievements in medical science, technology, and best practices.<\/p>\n
The first head of the Scientific and Medical Information Division was Professor B.I. Simenach. Even then, the department was actively involved in the management of scientific activity, which was considered a key scientific issue.
\nA strategic focus of the department’s work is the development of a system for managing intellectual property created at the Institute.<\/p>\n
Main areas of scientific activity:<\/h2>\n\n- developing the Institute\u2019s patent strategy;<\/li>\n
- providing patent and information support for intellectual property objects at all stages of the innovation process, in cooperation with the Scientific and Organisational Department;<\/li>\n
- scientific forecasting of priority development areas in vertebrology and arthrology;<\/li>\n
- scientific and patent support throughout the planning, implementation, and completion stages of research projects;<\/li>\n
- development of scientific and information resources;<\/li>\n
- improvement of scientific and information technologies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
\nDepartment staff analyse publications by Institute researchers in professional Ukrainian journals and high-impact international medical journals on platforms such as Scopus, Web of Science, and Mendeley.<\/p>\n
A commission for the identification and prevention of academic plagiarism has been established within the department.<\/p>\n
The Scientific Archive contains medical research documents spanning the past 50 years.<\/p>\n
