The scientific and practical conference with international participation, \u201cNew Concepts in Hip and Knee Joint Arthroplasty\u201d<\/em>, held on May 30\u201331, 2025, in Bukovel, became a significant forum in the field of orthopaedics in Ukraine.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The event was organised by the Sytenko Institute of Spine and Joint Pathology of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine in cooperation with Osnova, with the support of the European Hip Society (EHS) and SICOT. It brought together over 180 participants, including orthopaedists, anaesthesiologists, psychologists, representatives of medical companies, and international experts. Simultaneous translation was provided, and participants received 10 certification credits.<\/p>\n

May 30:<\/h2>\n

After the opening ceremony and participant survey, four symposia were held:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Primary arthroplasty: clinical aspects, complication prevention, pain management, and practical experience.<\/li>\n
  • Preoperative planning: modern tools, mixed reality, and standards.<\/li>\n
  • Psychological aspects: postoperative adaptation.<\/li>\n
  • Highlights from EHS: REAL classification, robotics, revision approaches, and infection management.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    At the end of the day, a survey on arthroplasty trends in Ukraine was conducted. A consensus was reached on establishing the Ukrainian Arthroplasty Association, and the winners of the competition were announced.<\/p>\n

    May 31:<\/h2>\n

    A Live Surgery session was held, presenting European and international experience in revision arthroplasty, 3D printing, robotic technologies, and customised implants. Topics also included new materials, digital planning, and defect management.<\/p>\n

    Special focus was given to the management of patients with comorbidities and modern rehabilitation after arthroplasty.<\/p>\n

    The event concluded with a summary, the awarding of winners (1st\u20137th place), and the official announcement of the intention to establish the Ukrainian Arthroplasty Association \u2014 a platform for coordinating scientific activity, innovation, training, and international collaboration.<\/p>\n

    The conference confirmed the high scientific standards and growing integration of Ukrainian orthopaedics into the global context.<\/strong><\/p>\n
