On the All-Ukrainian Day of Remembrance for Fallen Healthcare Workers<\/p>\n
We bow our heads in honour of the blessed memory of the healthcare professionals who gave their lives while saving others.<\/p>\n
They worked under shelling, on the front line, in hospitals, during evacuations, and in frontline communities. Wherever the danger was greatest, they remained alongside those who needed help. They continued saving lives until their very last moments, remaining faithful to their professional duty. They paid for this with their own lives.<\/p>\n
Since the beginning of Russia\u2019s full-scale invasion, hundreds of Ukrainian healthcare professionals have lost their lives while carrying out their professional duty. Among them were doctors, nurses, healthcare assistants, combat medics, and all those who selflessly stood in defence of people’s lives and health.<\/p>\n
At 2:00 pm on 10 July, hospitals and healthcare institutions across Ukraine will observe a commemorative signal\u2014the sound of a heartbeat coming to a stop. This will be followed by a minute of silence. It is a symbol of remembrance, gratitude, and profound respect for all healthcare professionals who lost their lives while saving others.<\/p>\n
The Sytenko Institute of Spine and Joint Pathology National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine joins the All-Ukrainian Day of Remembrance for Fallen Healthcare Workers.<\/p>\n
We encourage everyone to observe a minute of silence in honour of every healthcare professional who remained faithful to their professional duty until the very end and gave their life for others.<\/p>\n
May the memory of all healthcare professionals who lost their lives in the line of duty be eternal.<\/p>\n
