A book exhibition organized at the Institute’s Library is dedicated to the 140th anniversary of the birth of the prominent orthopaedic surgeon and traumatologist, Professor Mykola Sytenko — Director of the Sytenko Institute of Spine and Joint Pathology of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine in 1927–1940. Under his leadership, a modern system of orthopaedic and trauma care in Ukraine was established, a network of specialized institutions was developed, and in 1927 the journal Orthopaedics and Traumatology was founded.

The exhibition has been prepared on the eve of the international scientific and practical conference “Modern Technologies of Treatment and Rehabilitation of Musculoskeletal Diseases and Combat Injuries.”
