Following the outbreak of hostilities on the territory of Ukraine in 2014, a “Department of Combat Trauma” was established on the basis of the Emergency Traumatology and Reconstructive Surgery Department to provide highly specialised medical care to military personnel transferred from military hospitals, as well as to civilian patients injured during combat operations.
