The State Institution “Sytenko Institute of Spine and Joint Pathology of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine” is planning to hold a scientific and practical conference on
“2nd Slobozhanska Conference on Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care (SCAIC-2)”
on June 27, 2025.
We invite anaesthesiologists, orthopaedic traumatologists, neurologists, surgeons, general practitioners – family doctors, and interns to participate.
The conference will be held in a hybrid format – both online and offline, starting at 10:00.
Venue: Kharkiv, 80 Hryhorii Skovoroda Street, Sytenko Institute of Spine and Joint Pathology, Conference Hall.
The conference will cover the following topics:
- Anaesthesia for “complex” patients.
- Current issues in intensive care.
- Advances in regional anaesthesia and pain medicine.
Leading specialists in anaesthesiology and orthopaedics will deliver lectures and presentations.
Registered participants will receive an access code the day before the event.
The conference will be included in the Register of CPD Events of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine for 2025.
Participants may receive an electronic certificate with CPD points, which are counted toward professional certification in accordance with Order No. 446 of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine dated February 22, 2019.
To qualify, participants must pass a mandatory test (with at least 75% correct answers) by 23:59 on June 27, 2025.
Test questions will be sent after the conference ends.
An electronic conference proceedings book is planned for publication.

Abstract submission guidelines:
- Text: 1–5 A4 pages in DOC or RTF format (MS Word); Times New Roman 12 pt, single spacing; 2 cm margins; 1.25 cm paragraph indent. Structure: Introduction, Aim, Materials and Methods, Results, and Conclusions. Authors are responsible for the accuracy and scientific content.
Abstract format sample:
- Title (IN CAPITAL LETTERS)
- Author(s): Last name and initials
- Institution, city, country
- Keywords (3–5)
- Abstract text
- Filename: use the first author’s last name. If submitting multiple abstracts, number them (e.g., Ivanov1.doc, Ivanov2.doc).
- Do not include trade names of medications or company names in abstracts. Advertising of trade names or medical products is prohibited during the event, per the “Regulation on the CPD System…” (Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 725, July 14, 2021, with amendments from Resolution No. 1036, September 29, 2023).
- The proceedings will be available in the Institute’s repository and the National Medical Library’s digital archive.
To have your abstract included in the proceedings, a publication fee of 300 UAH must be paid
(this includes layout, editing, online publication, certificate of participation, and Zoom access).
