The staff and administration of the State Institution “Institute of Pathology of the Spine and Joints. prof. MI Sytenko of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine ”reports with deep sadness that on October 23, at the age of 84, one of the oldest employees of the institute, Candidate of Medical Sciences RAISA MYZHAYLIVNA MEZENTSEVA, passed away.
Raisa Mikhailovna’s whole life was connected with the Institute named after prof. E. Small. Here she went from a nurse to a leading surgeon, defended her dissertation. R.M. Mezentseva performed complex operations on limb amputation, express prosthetics for patients with pathology of large joints. For significant success in the treatment of this pathology, Raisa Mikhailovna was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor. His rich experience, his deep knowledge of R.M. Mezentseva passed on to young orthopedic traumatologists and brought up many wonderful specialists who will keep the memory of Raisa Mikhailovna for a long time.
We are deeply saddened by the heavy loss and express our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Raisa Mikhailovna.
