At the meeting of the specialised academic council, the dissertation by Oleksandr Vysotskyi entitled “Diagnosis and Prevention of Thromboembolic Complications in Patients with Stage III–IV Coxarthrosis After Total Hip Arthroplasty” was reviewed.

The work addresses relevant issues of diagnosis and prevention of disorders of the coagulation and anticoagulation systems of the blood in patients with stage III–IV coxarthrosis before and after total hip replacement and has practical significance for improving the safety of surgical treatment.

Following the public discussion and voting, the council members decided that the dissertation defence was successful and awarded the applicant the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).
