On March 9, 2025, with the support of the State Institution “Institute of Spine and Joint Pathology named after M.I. Sytenko of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine” and in collaboration with Resort Medical Park, a unique cadaver course on knee joint endoprosthetics was held

On March 9, 2025, with the support of the State Institution “Institute of Spine and Joint Pathology named after M.I. Sytenko of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine” and in collaboration with Resort Medical Park, a unique cadaver course on knee joint endoprosthetics was held!

Participants had the opportunity to immerse themselves in modern surgical techniques, practice practical skills on cadaver materials, and learn about the latest innovations in the field of orthopedic surgery.

The course covered a theoretical block with lectures on:

  • The basics of total knee joint endoprosthetics
  • The selection of the prosthesis type depending on the patient’s pathology
  • The peculiarities of primary and revision endoprosthetics
  • The use of semi-constrained and fully constrained (Hinge) designs
  • Modern approaches to ligament apparatus reconstruction

The practical component included:

  • Primary knee joint endoprosthetics with and without preservation of the anterior cruciate ligament
  • Revision endoprosthetics using a semi-constrained design
  • Revision endoprosthetics with a fully constrained (Hinge) design

Thanks to the combination of lectures and practical sessions under the guidance of the leading orthopedic-traumatologist surgeon, Doctor of Medical Sciences, and Director of the State Institution “Institute of Spine and Joint Pathology of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine” – Stanislav Bondarenko, every participant gained invaluable experience and practical skills that will contribute to the improvement of the quality of treatment for patients with knee joint pathologies.
