XXIV Bieszczadzka Scientific Conference

XXIV Bieszczadzka Scientific Conference

17–18 November 2025, Arłamów, Poland

A major Polish-Ukrainian orthopaedic conference took place in Arłamów, traditionally bringing together leading experts in the field. The two-day scientific forum included 8 intensive sessions devoted to shoulder and knee joint pathology, modern approaches to treating musculoskeletal injuries, and a large separate block focused on combat-related injuries of joints and limbs — a topic of particular relevance for Ukraine.

The event was attended by more than 200 participants from Poland and Ukraine — orthopaedic surgeons, trauma surgeons, rehabilitation specialists and researchers who presented the latest data from clinical practice and scientific developments.

The Sytenko Institute of Spine and Joint Pathology of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine was represented by a strong delegation consisting of:

The Institute’s specialists delivered 5 scientific presentations dedicated to advanced approaches in the treatment of combat injuries of joints and limbs. Special attention was paid to modern surgical technologies, reconstructive techniques and rehabilitation strategies that today help save limbs and restore function to wounded individuals.

The XXIV Bieszczadzka Scientific Conference became another important step in strengthening cooperation between Polish and Ukrainian orthopaedic specialists, exchanging experience, and jointly developing evidence-based medicine even in the challenging conditions of wartime.
