On October 18-19, under the auspices of the European Society of Hip Replacement, a large-scale international orthopedic event, MAST 11 Course: Current Concepts in Advanced Arthroplasty Surgery, Tsessaloniki, which this year was held in conjunction with the 80th Congress of the Hellenic Association of Orthopedics and Traumatology. The National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine was represented at the event by Stanislav Bondarenko, MD, Director of the Sytenko Institute of Spine and Joint Pathology National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine.

It was an extraordinary event with more than 1000 delegates, high-quality scientific sessions, fascinating discussions on topical issues, review of complex clinical cases and discussions of the latest scientific research.

Over the past 10 years, fruitful scientific and educational cooperation with the European Hip Society has been actively developing. It involves 25 Ukrainian scientists – members of the society. Joint scientific publications, internships of Ukrainian specialists abroad, as well as organization of conferences and master classes have become important stages of this cooperation. Employees of the Sytenko Institute of Spine and Joint Pathology National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine are members of the Executive Committee of the Society: Dr. Stanislav Bondarenko is the Secretary General of the Society, and Prof. Volodymyr Filipenko is the national representative of Ukraine.
