Ukraine, including the Sytenko Institute of Spine and Joint Pathology of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, at the 16th European Hip Society Congress in Thessaloniki

The 16th European Hip Society (EHS) Congress took place in Thessaloniki — an event that brought together a record number of participants in the history of the Society: 1,100 delegates from 90 countries around the world.
Over the course of two days, participants had the opportunity to attend 46 scientific sessions devoted to the most relevant topics in modern hip surgery.
Ukrainian presence
This year, Ukraine was honourably represented by 7 members of the European Hip Society, who demonstrated a high level of scientific activity and professional excellence:
- 3 strong scientific presentations;
- 4 moderations of scientific symposia and training courses.
Achievements of Ukrainian participants
- The Director of the Sytenko Institute of Spine and Joint Pathology of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, DMSc Stanislav Bondarenko, was re-elected as Secretary General of the European Hip Society by an absolute majority of votes for a new four-year term.
- The National Representative of Ukraine, Prof. Volodymyr Filipenko, delivered a lecture devoted to complex primary hip arthroplasty.
- PhD Oleksii Marushchak presented the results of periprosthetic infection treatment from the clinic of the Sytenko Institute of Spine and Joint Pathology of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine in the “Best National Presentation” competition.
- DMSc Vasyl Makarov presented a joint scientific development, prepared together with the Director of the Institute, DMSc Stanislav Bondarenko, on the use of individual 3D-printed implants.
