The Sytenko Institute of Spine and Joint Pathology National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine on 26 January 2026, in cooperation with Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, held the international seminar “Expert Insight into the Diagnosis and Treatment of Periprosthetic Joint Infection: 2026”, which took place online under the auspices of the European Hip Society (EHS) and the German Hip Society (DNG/DHG).

During the seminar, presentations were delivered by leading experts from Germany, Europe and Ukraine, focusing on modern approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of periprosthetic joint infection. In particular, treatment outcomes based on real-world clinical data were discussed, as well as the possibilities of single-stage and two-stage revision, algorithmic approaches to patient management, and the challenges associated with culture-negative infections.
